Biography
Zhang Zhenxing is a Mongolian musician who taught at Horqin Vocational College of Art. Professional service included membership in the China Nationalities Orchestra Society, standing-director work for the Erhu Society of the Inner Mongolia Musicians Association, vice-presidential work in the Ordos instrumental-music community, and a Maple Leaf arts-education award in Fremont, California.
Zhang performs erhu, sihu, morin khuur, guqin, and other instruments, with particular research into Mongolian huqin styles. Performance work received provincial chamber-music awards.
In July 2019, Zhang reached the adult professional bowed-string semifinal of the first China National Instrumental Music Television Competition and received an Excellence Award. Representative works included the erhu solos Pursuit, Storytelling Tune, and Wrestler, and the morin-khuur solo Gobi.
