About YCMA
YCMA teaches Chinese instrumental music and creative arts through focused study, ensemble work, and performance in Richmond, British Columbia.

Our purpose
YCMA’s published program and event record brings together three diploma areas, instrumental study, ensemble learning, and public performance. Students learn technique and repertoire, then develop expression by preparing work to share with others.
Concerts and community events in Richmond give that preparation a visible purpose. The school’s role is to make the path—from a first admissions question to focused study and performance—clear for students and families.
